Jilin Qian’an oilfield is located in Northeastern China. The geological structure is very similar to the very first oilfield discovered in China, the Da Qing Oilfield. Qian’an Oilfiled has middle and lower oil containing combination, industrial oil found in Fuyu oil layer and Gaotaizi oil layer. The main objective layer is Gaotaizi oil layer for the production wells.
Qian’an Oilfield area construction position is located northeast of the Changling caved zone of Songliao basin. Changling caved zone is located at a newly raised slope. The oilfield is located west of the construction position and is very level. Its nose-shaped construction is inclined from north to southwest. The top elevation of Gaotaizi oil layer is -1350 to -1450 meters and faults have not developed in the area. The Gaotaizi oil layer is a target exploiting layer in this area distributed in No.3 black segment stratum of Cretaceous system. The thickness of stratum is 350-410 meters, and oil reserve depth is 1600-2075 meters. Average oil-containing well segment is 120 meters and average effective thickness is 4.9 meters.
NEP currently operate 4 oilfields, which include:
Qian 112 Oilfield
NEP acquired Qian 112 Oilfield in 2004 and is NEP’s largest oilfield. Located nine kilometers southwest of Qian’ an County, Jilin Province, Qian 112 Oilfield has a proved oil bearing area of 2, 696 acres with geological reserves, according to a geological report prepared by PetroChina Jilin Branch of Research Institute for Exploration and Development, totaling 37.4 million barrels. Oil is explored at perforated intervals from 1,600 to 2,075 meters below sea level.
HE 301 Oilfield
NEP acquired He 301 Oilfield in 2006. Located within Song Yuan City, Jilin Province, He 301 has a proved oil bearing area of 741 acres with geological reserves, according to a geological report prepared by PetroChina Jilin Branch of Research Institute for Exploration and Development, totaling 15.3 million barrels.
Gu 31 Oilfield
NEP acquired Gu 31 Oilfield in 2007. Located in Kum Dim County, Jilin Province, Gu 31 has a proved oil bearing area of 1,779 acres with geological reserves, according to a geological report prepared by PetroChina Jilin Branch of Research Institute for Exploration and Development, totaling 16.3 million barrels. Oil reserves are at 1,500 meters below sea level
Da 34 Oilfield
NEP acquired Da 34 Oilfield in 2007. Located in Song Yuan Tai On City, Jilin Province, Da 34 Oilfield has a proved oil bearing area of 1,428 acres with geological reserves, according to a geological report prepared by PetroChina Jilin Branch of Research Institute for Exploration and Development, totaling 6.1 million barrels. Most of the oil reserves are found at perforated intervals about 2,200 meters below sea level
